Fleece vest

A fleece vest is a very versatile garment in terms of functionality and style. It can be worn in many ways, such as an outer garment, to a comfortable middle layer under all types of jackets, blazers and coats. It is a long time since fleece vests just were a functional garment. Today, many different variants can easily be worn stylishly, and can be combined with innovative and interesting combinations of garments.

A fleece vest can be purchased as a removable lining for a jacket, whose outer layer is more weather resistant. Waxed jackets are a good example of this. The fleece vest is often reversible, made from a quilted synthetic fabric, so that the outside of the vest does not catch on the outer garment. This is an aspect to remember when you are thinking about investing in a fleece vest. Fabrics with this type of rough surface texture often tend to catch on each other, so to speak. Fleece worn directly against tweed, flannel or corduroy will result in the two garments not sliding against each other. If the vest then has a smoother fabric lining, you avoid this problem.

Tips for using your fleece vest include, for example, to try it on under a thin wool overcoat. This allows you to wear a thin coat on much colder days. In the same way, you can wear the fleece vest as a warming layer under blazers, hoodies, or on top of a coarsely knit sweater.
